Important Parking Guidelines for Grand Venezia: GVCOA & Clearwater Cay CDD Agreement

Dear Grand Venezia Community Members,
We are committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and orderly parking environment within our community. In accordance with the GVCOA & Clearwater Cay CDD Parking Agreement (9-5-2011), please review the following parking guidelines which apply to all vehicles within the Grand Venezia perimeter. These rules are in place to ensure smooth traffic flow, protect emergency access, and uphold the overall integrity of our community.
Key Parking Guidelines:
- Vehicle Identification:
- Authorized Parking Passes: Every vehicle parked in Grand Venezia must display either a GVCOA vehicle Bar Code Parking Decal, a day pass issued by the gate guard, or a temporary parking pass provided by GVCOA Management.
- Distinct Decals: There are two different background-colored decals – one for unit owners and one for non-owners. GVCOA Management will affix these decals to the left side rear window for proper identification.
- Guest and Temporary Parking:
- Overnight Guests: Will receive a One Day parking pass at the Guardhouse gate.
- Non-owner Residents: Temporary parking passes are issued for stays ranging from 2 days up to 1 week. These passes must be clearly visible either hanging from the rearview mirror or placed on the dash. Extensions or renewals may be provided weekly (with possible fees) by GVCOA Management.
- Pass Availability: Passes are available during office hours at the GVCOA offices upon verification of ownership and identity. Please note, temporary passes and decals are not mailed.
- Reserved Parking:
- Parking spaces reserved outside of a garage are strictly for the lessee of that garage or any vehicle explicitly approved in writing by the lessee. Written approval must be submitted to the GVCOA offices.
- No Parking Zones:
- Do not park along roadside curbs, in front of garages (unless you are the lessee), on grassed areas, or any area off the pavement.
- Vehicles must be parked only in marked parking spaces. Specific time restrictions on certain spaces will be enforced.
- Handicapped Parking:
- These areas are reserved solely for vehicles displaying a valid government-issued Handicap Parking pass.
- Vehicle Requirements:
- All vehicles must have a current valid tag and be in operable, roadworthy condition. No on-site maintenance is allowed except for essential services like changing a flat tire or jump starting a battery.
- Car Wash Area Usage:
- The car wash area is for vehicle cleaning only. Parking is allowed only while the owner is present, and the usage is limited to 15 minutes if others are waiting.
- Prohibited Vehicles:
- Boats, trailers, motor homes, and commercial vehicles are not allowed to be parked within Grand Venezia unless stored inside a garage.
- Overnight parking for commercial vehicles is not permitted unless they are actively working on GVCOA property during regular business hours.
Towing and Enforcement:
- Warning Policy:
- Generally, two warnings will be issued for violations before a vehicle is towed—except in cases that pose a safety risk.
- Immediate Towing: Vehicles that block emergency vehicle access or park illegally in front of a leased garage will be towed immediately without prior notice.
- Towing Details:
- Towing is governed by FL Statute Sect. 715.07. All costs incurred in towing, storage, and release are the vehicle owner’s responsibility.
- The current authorized towing company is A1 Towing (Phone: (727) 536-5600); however, this is subject to change without further notice.
- Towing instructions must be authorized solely by a member of the GVCOA Board of Directors, a Clearwater Cay Board member, or an authorized GVCOA Management employee.
- Documentation:
- If a vehicle is towed, the authorized towing company is required to take digital photographs and send them to the GVCOA management office within 12 hours of the towing event.
Important Note:
These parking rules can be amended by GVCOA and/or Clearwater Cay CDD at any time without notice. We ask for your full cooperation to ensure the safety, order, and efficiency of our community. Non-compliance may result in penalties, including towing, so please make sure your vehicle is always in compliance with these guidelines.
Thank you for your attention to these important guidelines. By adhering to these rules, you help maintain a safe and pleasant environment for everyone in the Grand Venezia community.
